What is coaching?


Coaching is the ability to empower someone to move forward. The focus is not on fixing a client, but on empowering them to move forward towards their goals, dreams, conclusions and solutions in order to lead a better fulfilling and richer life.

What is the difference between coaching and Psychotherapy?

Coaching: ICF (International Coaching Federation) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. 

The coach’s responsibility is to:

- Discover, clarify and align with what the client wants to achieve

- Encourage client self-discovery

- Elicit client-generated solution and strategies

- Hold the client responsible and accountable 

This process helps the clients dramatically improve their outlook on work and life, while developing leadership skills and unlocking their potential.

Psychotherapy: The focus is often on resolving difficulties arising from the past that hamper an individual’s emotional functioning in the present improving overall psychological functioning and dealing with the present in more emotionally healthy ways.

What is the time needed to achieve one's goals?

There is no specific or defined time line for a client to achieve a certain goal. The process primarily depends on what the client wants to achieve and their ability to adopt to the positive change and work on it. Generally speaking, we recommend no less than 12 weeks as an initial stage to start with. Should there be a continuation required, it will be determined and agreed between the coach and the client. After a period of six months, if the client constantly and continuously moves forward with the plan to meet his goals without any obstacles or blocking barriers, that’s when we consider that an individual is capable to move on their own with the right path.

Does that mean that I have to be coached for 6 months?

NO. The coaching period highly depends on how ready a client is to move forward –  and intentionally – with the plan set together with the coach. It is recommended that a client keeps in touch with the coach and schedule some consultation or follow up sessions to make sure that he or she are intact and well- aligned with their plan and path towards their goals.

How do I know if I need coaching or any other type of help?

 A free consultation session or call can be scheduled to determine whether you need coaching, consultant, mentor or psychiatrist. After an assessment conducted by the coach we determine which path to take and whether you are ready for coaching or not.
